We were very pleased to see that the Portuguese
consumers elected Jullie, by Becken – Worten exclusive brand – "Product of the
Year” in 2017, in the category of "Soup Machine”. The distinction was granted
on 7 February and awarded a product that we believe to have differentiating
qualities such as versatility and simplicity, while at the same showcasing what
we do best in terms of innovation at Sonae.
This award comes at a time when Becken has been
strengthening its position in the domestic market, standing strong as a brand
that is closer to consumers and wishes to make their everyday lives easier. For
us, Jullie is a product that is a key help in the everyday life of Portuguese
consumers, who are increasingly in favour of healthy food and of a particular
lifestyle in which Sonae also wants to be present.
In Worten, our ambition is to continue to have
a positive influence on consumers’ daily lives and we believe projects like
Jullie, by Becken, can take on great relevance in our business model. I would
also like to congratulate the team involved in the project and express our
gratitude to consumers for this distinction, which will certainly drive us to persevere
with added momentum.
