    Nowadays, food waste is a huge problem with social, environmental and economic impact, but it is mainly an issue for the future, because the current food system is not sustainable.
  • Implementation
    Initiatives to promote reduction of waste (repack/pack fruits, happy hour in take-aways, improvement of the depreciation process), reuse (improvement of donation processes, use of products at the end of lifecycle in social areas of stores or in catering services) and recycling activities (transformation of waste into other products to be sold at Sonae stores in a circular economy approach – example: jam).
